Top Five Vitamins to Aid Male Fertility

Male Fertility Success by Shola Oslo tells us that if you are having a problem with male infertility one of the easiest ways to improve the situation is to start taking vitamin supplements. There are multi vitamin supplements available that are specifically targeted for male fertility but before you commit yourself to a course you need to make sure they contain the following top five vitamins needed to increase male fertility:

1. Vitamin B12- Is essential to improve sperm count and sperm motility. The recommended intake is 1.5 mcg per day and this has been shown to improve sperm counts in 60% of users.

2. Vitamin C – is an antioxidant which negates the damage of free radicals. It can improve sperm count and sperm motility and also improves sperm agglutination – when sperm clump together. Recommended daily intake is 500-1000 mg per day.

3. Vitamin E – is another antioxidant and is needed by both males and females to ensure fertility. Vitamin E gives the sperm the strength to penetrate the egg. Recommended daily intake is a minimum of 4mg.

4. Arginine – is an amino acid that is needed to produce sperm and to improve sperm motility. The recommended daily intake is 4g per day and in a controlled study 74% of men showed an improvement in sperm count and sperm motility in a three month period.

5. Zinc – is a vital element in male fertility. A man loses 5mg of zinc every time he ejaculates. Smoking, caffeine and alcohol inhibit the absorption of zinc so a supplement is essential. Recommended daily intake is 10 – 30 mg per day.

Taking a vitamin supplement could be your first step to sorting out your male infertility – but don’t forget you also need to improve your diet, give up smoking, and reduce your alcohol intake too!
